The cages housed beautiful birds in all shapes and sizes

The Ueno Zoo was vast and beautiful, the landscaping was really a sight and a pleasure

This big kitty rolled around on it´s back and was showing off with some bush boxing

I was heartbroken to see this, I´d been so looking forward to meet Lingling

Hangry in Harajuku

Harajuku girls you got that wickid style (borrowed photo)

Harajuku is most known for the “Harajuku Girls” phenomenon that appears on the weekends. Basically all the emo chicks and roosters dress up in “outrageous” costumes and fashion on a bridge here, in the hope of getting some attention and magazine exposure. I was there on a schoolday though, so i only caught an occasional glimpse of one walking by.

Kiddie Land

Kawaii! Celine and i stumbled upon a fantastic toy store called Kiddie Land here – 6 stories tall and filled with all things buzzing, cuddly and cute like Hello Kitty, Snoopy, robots, manga action figures, gadgets and pokemon. Kawaii overload! I picked up some cool Naruto and Dragonball stuff here for my nephew, and some other things.

Play cigarettes for kids!

OK – this item warrants some commentary… In the middle of cuddlywuddly bunnie wunnies and dancing, blinking flowers – we find … fake cigarettes for kids! :O The booth even had a DVD promo showing how the “cigarettes” would burn down as you puffed on them, looking all sexeh n hawt! – Facepalm of the day winner! -

There were alot of high-end brands with some Wicked shops in Harajuku along Omotesando, like the Louis Vuitton facade below. The Takeshita Dori was cool too, which was a claustrophobic but very cool shopping street with lots of eccentric shops & cafes.

Before heading home, more by accident than anything else, we came upon Hangry & Angry! The cutest gothlolcats you´ve ever seen. haha You need to Google this and get your hands on some of the merchandise, awesome fun.
